It is interesting to follow Internet discussions on electricity generation from solar thermal power! People talk about mega power plants with thousands of reflective mirrors focusing the sun's rays on a central tower, or alternatively, about water/air solar heaters panel. Again I ask: Why not use cheap and simple technology developed by Israel, around 1970 to generate in the backyard of every home, electricity in the average power like 5KW - 110V/220Vac, 24 hours / day? An elementary engine using CO2 as working fluid and a reservoir of solar thermal energy installed in the basement resolve the issue.
